Pterostilbene is a stilbenoid similar to Resveratrol. It is found in foods such as almonds, blueberries, and grape leaves. As a supplement, it boasts benefits similar to those of Resveratrol. It serves as an antioxidant, is neuroprotective, has anti-cancer features, and has also been described as cardioprotective, analgesic, anti-atherosclerosis, anti-aging, and anti-diabetic. Compared to Resveratrol, however, it has been shown to stay in the organism 7 times longer, and shown to be 10 times more efficient in suppressing cancer.
